ホノルルマラソン協会は、これまでホノルル市政府及びハワイ州政府と多くの協議や検討を重ね、
本年12月13日の「JALホノルルマラソン2020」開催に向けて、
全力で新型コロナウィルスへの対応策を含めて準備を進めて参りました。
しかしながら、現下のハワイ州ホノルル市郡における状況において、ホノルルマラソンの大会運営に必要な
公道・公園使用等を含め許認可の獲得をすることが困難と判断し、本大会の2020年12月13日（日）の開催を断念せざるを得ない状況となりましたのでお知らせ申し上げます。
2020年大会の延期開催または開催中止については、決定次第、本サイトにてご案内いたします。
また、既にエントリーを済まされた皆様には、今後の対応が決まり次第、本サイトおよびEメールなどでお知らせいたします。

ホノルルマラソン協会は、2020年12月13日に予定されていた第48回ホノルルマラソン2020の12月開催を断念しましたことをお知らせいたします。
ホノルル市郡政府とハワイ州政府と多くの協議や検討を行い、今年の12月にはレースが実施できないという結論に達しました。
私どもは、皆様がホノルルマラソンに向けて一生懸命トレーニングを重ね、また参加を楽しみにされていることを承知しており、
この苦渋の決断を皆様と同じく非常に残念に思っております。
10Kラン＆ウォーク、カラカウアメリーマイルなどの関連イベントも今年12月には開催されません。
また私どもは、2021年上期における延期開催が可能な代替日の検討と協議を行う予定です。
2021年にその延期開催の日程をスケジュールできない場合、
エントリーされている皆様は、2021年12月開催の第49回ホノルルマラソンに追加料金なしで参加することができます。

Honolulu Marathon Association has made the decision to cancel the 48th Honolulu Marathon which was scheduled on December 13, 2020.
With many consultation and discussions with the City and County of Honolulu and the State of Hawaii, it was concluded that the race will not happen in this December.
We know all of you have training hard and looking forward to the HM2020 and we also are disappointed in being forced to make this decision.
All our related events; Start to Park 10k, Kalakaua Merrie Mile and others will also be cancelled for this December.
We may consider and discuss about possible alternate dates in the first half of 2021 for the postponed Honolulu Marathon.
If we are unable to schedule a date in 2021, your entry will be deferred to the 49th Honolulu Marathon held in December 2021 at no additional charge.
